Who is this for?

People rebuilding a routine after a course of antibiotics, anyone whose digestion has been unpredictable enough to be annoying, and people who've tried two or three probiotics and never worked out whether any of them did anything. It's a daily supplement, not a treatment for a diagnosed condition.

How do I take it ?

Two capsules once a day, with a meal. Taking them on an empty stomach is the single most common reason people find a probiotic uncomfortable — food buffers stomach acid and gives the strains a better chance of arriving intact. If two feels like a lot in week one, start with one and move up after a few days.

What's inside ?

A blend of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains totalling 40 billion CFU per serving, with fructooligosaccharide (FOS) as the prebiotic fibre. The full Supplement Facts panel is further down this page.

Most probiotics compete on a number you can't verify.

40 billion.

60 billion.

100 billion.

Then 200.

CFU is the easiest thing to print on a bottle and the least useful thing to compare. It tells you nothing about which strains you're getting, whether they arrive alive, or how you'll feel on day four.

What if the plainest version was still the right one?

Monohydrate is the form with hundreds of studies behind it. Everything we did to this tub was a decision to leave something out.

  • Take it with food

Helps the probiotics survive stomach acid

  • Prebiotic fibre included

Feeds the good bacteria once they arrive

  • Shelf-stable

No refrigeration needed, even when traveling

The first fourteen days, honestly.

This is the part the category doesn't print. It's also the reason most people abandon a probiotic before it has told them anything.

Days 1–3

Little to no change

Week 2–3

Mild gas may occur

Week 4

Adjustment usually settles

Week 8

Time to assess results

One thing we won't tell you: push through it. If discomfort is getting worse rather than settling, stop taking it and speak to a healthcare professional.

Built for consistency

Attach it to a meal you already eat.

Two capsules with lunch, or with whichever meal you never skip. That's the whole protocol. No timing window, no empty-stomach rule to remember, no bottle stranded in a fridge at home while you're away for the week.

Most probiotic pages stop at the CFU number.

FAQs

Will it make me gassy or bloated at first?

It can, usually in the first week, and usually because of the prebiotic fibre rather than the strains. For most people it settles within seven to fourteen days. If it doesn't — or if it's getting worse rather than easing — drop to one capsule or stop, and talk to a healthcare professional. We're not going to tell you to push through it.

Do I need to take it with food?

Yes, and it matters more than most labels suggest. Stomach acid is the main obstacle between a capsule and the intestine, and a meal buffers it. Taking probiotics on an empty stomach is the most common reason people find them uncomfortable.

Is 40 billion CFU better than 100 billion?

Not automatically, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling a number. Above a certain point, more colony-forming units doesn't mean more benefit — strain selection and whether the strains survive the trip matter more than the headline figure. We picked 40 billion because it's a well-populated dose, not because it wins a spec sheet.

Can I take it after a course of antibiotics?

Many people do, and it's one of the most common reasons anyone starts a probiotic. The usual practical advice is to space the capsules a few hours apart from the antibiotic dose. Beyond that, this is a question for the professional who prescribed the antibiotic — they know your situation and we don't.

Does it need refrigeration?

No. Store it somewhere cool and dry, away from direct heat. That's deliberate: a probiotic that lives in the fridge is a probiotic that gets left behind whenever you travel, and a routine that breaks for a week is worth less than a slightly less fussy one you actually keep.
